Alma
Alma was involved a serious road accident a few years ago that has left her paralyzed from the waist down. She is a married lady with three young children. Living in a remote mountain village has meant that she faces many challenges.
Her doctor wanted her to go to Manila so that she could have an MRI scan to establish the extent of her injuries. Through the generosity of members of the Church of Ireland in Roscommon LINAP was able to cover the cost of the trip to Manila, which among other things involved hiring a van for the trip as Alma could not travel on the regular bus. 
LINAP has also supplied Alma with catheters, catheter bags and other medicines. This year LINAP received a donation of catheter bags which I was able to pass on to Alma.
As you can see from the photo Alma’s wheelchair was made from a plastic chair which was not always very comfortable. The Mother’s Union that meets in Mohill, Co Leitrim made a donation that enabled LINAP to buy a new wheelchair for Alma
